A Game About Digging A Hole is an indie simulation game developed by DoubleBee. The aim of the game is simple: you need to dig a giant hole in the backyard of a house, with the objective of finding a treasure chest.
It’s not a game I would usually play, but it became available on Game Pass, so I decided to give it a go. If you’re looking for something slow-paced, simple and short, this one’s for you.
You start out with a humble spade, and as you dig your way through the soil, you collect ores such as copper and iron, which you sell for money in order to upgrade your equipment. The further down into the earth you go, the more exotic the ores become, which are increasingly valuable. You use the money to upgrade your jetpack so you can easily escape from the hole, and turn your spade into a power drill that helps you clear earth much faster.
